The Physiological Mechanisms of Triple Negative Breast Cancer in African American Women

چکیده

Breast cancer is one of the leading causes cancer-related mortality among women. Multiple subtypes exist for tumor biology, but triple-negative breast (TNBC) lacks expression estrogen receptor, progesterone and human epidermal growth factor. TNBC accounts 20% cancers most aggressive associated with an earlier age susceptibility, racial ethnic differences, limited targeted therapies. African American women bear a disproportionate burden in oncology-related health disparities. This population diagnosed at later stages often regional to distant metastases, high grades, aberrant sequence mutations, treatment delays, decreased disease-free survival. review explores multifactorial nature this disparity by addressing physiological mechanisms, socioeconomic factors, ancestral challenges diagnosis methods era precision medicine.

Differentially expressed miRNAs in triple negative breast cancer between African-American and non-Hispanic white women

Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC), a clinically aggressive subtype of breast cancer, disproportionately affects African American (AA) women when compared to non-Hispanic Whites (NHW). MiRNAs(miRNAs) play a critical role in these tumors, through the regulation of cancer driver genes. In this study, our goal was to characterize and compare the patterns of miRNA expression in TNBC of AA (n = 27...

Clinicopathological Features of Non-metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer

Background: Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is reported to be associated with a high risk of recurrence, poor overall survival (OS), and disease-free survival (DFS) rates. This study evaluated the clincopathological features and survival of non-metastatic TNBC women in the capital of Iran compared with other areas of the world. Methods: In a retrospective study, 119 women with TNBC based ...

African-American women and breast cancer.

For decades, researchers have been aware that African American women tend to be diagnosed with later stage breast cancer than white women and that they are more likely to die from the disease. Statistics also indicate that African American women under the age of 45 have a higher incidence and mortality from breast cancer than white women under the age of 45. The reasons for these differences in...

Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC): challenges and solutions via the immune cells TNBC is one of the most complicated types of breast cancer to treat. It is generally diagnosed based on the absence of three receptors: estrogen, progesterone, and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) and is thus defined as a triple negative. TNBC is often more aggressive with lower survival rates...
